River Roots with a target of 98 runs to win wanted to win and win comfortably to lift their net run rate from their poor first game batting performance. New D' Knights would hope to clean up their fielding and record a win.
Shervin George's 53 not out proved too much for New D' Knights who had few chances and a lackluster bowling attack failed to trouble River Roots' batsmen. They reach the target of 98 for the loss of 2 in 12.4 overs. River Roots win by 8 wickets, Joshua Jn Baptiste 1 for 9 runs for New D' Knights.
This win makes things interesting in Group 1, with River Roots improving their NRR and knowing that two teams ahead of them in the table Zenon and Challengers will play each other on Saturday March 18th.
